Hello developers and Beintoo friends!
Here are the winners of the hackathon which took place during Hackitaly 2012, next to Venice. Beintoo was one of the official partners of this event which gathered startuppers and developers coming from all over Italy.

This group of four young developers decided to use the Beintoo’s API to realize their successful project called PlantCare. Basically, the idea came from their passion for carnivorous plants and the goal was to create a program capable of observing and monitoring the state of health of the plants. This system checks the temperature of the air and humidity of the ground and saves the data on cloud. Then, if the program notices a condition of danger, the user gets an alert through an app for iPhone or Android, and can activate a pump which waters the plants.
